Eat what you want, when you want. In general the problem with our diets is not what we eat but how much. Enjoy it all, just in moderation. It's not rocket science, or a new fad diet, it's portion control.
Download the app. It's free. Track how many bites you take in a day. Everything but water counts as a bite. A spoonful of cereal counts the same as a single piece of candy. It sounds crazy but it all averages out.
Eat. Normal. For the first seven days don't change your habits. You may try to "cheat" for the first few days and take enormous bites... That's fine. You will give up on that pretty quickly.
After seven days the app will set a target for you. Try to hit that target every day. Changing habits can be tough. If you fall off the wagon one day don't worry about it. Tomorrow is a new day.
As you reduce your intake, pay attention to the foods you eat. If you have the option between something healthy and something obviously not, take the healthy option; at least most of the time.
